Pieces must be the original work of the writer. AI generated work is forbidden. International submissions are encouraged. Simultaneous submissions and reprints are allowed. If your work was previously published, please report where it first appeared. Dahlia Lit will receive non-exclusive reprint rights upon publication. If your work is previously unpublished, Dahlia Lit receives First Serial Rights upon publication. All rights revert back to the author upon publication. We ask that you credit Dahlia Lit as your piece's first publication in any reprints.
Genre Specifications
-> For poetry, please send up to five poems, with each piece starting on a new page. We accept PDF files.
-> For prose, please send up to three pieces, up to 3,000 words for each piece.
-> For art or photography, submit up to three works in PNG, JPEG, or PDF format.
Response Time
We strive to keep our response time under <72 hours. However, if you do not hear back from us after that time, feel free to query at dahlialitmag@gmail.com. Submissions that do not follow guidelines will not be considered.
